Two trips this day, a very early collecting free dive for fish food of limpets and cunjevoi.

The arvo a low tide look around for some feeder shrimp and what ever we get to see along the way was very nice and the feeder shrimp this time had to be peps as the boxers were in very low numbers.

The pics from the day.

Mud crab with nippers gone in a fight.
Firstly its hiding then off he goes when my hand comes near.

Because of the weather earlier on there were literally thousands of peppermint shrimps moving around.

The morning free dive was a bit miserable, though the afternoon low tide walk made up for it nicely.

Post  Makaira on 4th June 2012, 1:19 am

hey guys i went down on saturday for the lowtide.

saw some great life but i dont own a decent camera.
so no pics.
saw an abundance of green and yellow carpet anemone.
had a tangle with a what i would call a dog shark that was hidding under a big rock.
under same said rock was a beautiful red spot rock cod (god i wish i had a predator tank).
heaps of peppermint shrimp around, a few copperbands but they are harder to catch without the instruction of dendrobate Razz
saw some huge mudcrabs unfortantely all female.
also found a great cowrie would have loved a pic to show you.

all in all a great arvo. amazing what i can see when im not to busy chatting to igno and dendro

I can't believe how many Pepps you guys get. I got a tank full of Aptsia and have done four trips for pepps and have not seen anything not for the lack of trying, good on you guys.

Thanks Liquidg, I have had a good look for them in my local area with only finding one. I put it in the tank and never saw it again. I might have to look some were a bit more muddy? my Aptsia problem is pretty bad.I only had three then I injected a large one with warm vinigar and it turned into hundreds.
