Hi from the Gold Coast

Hi all,

My tank is only at the beginning of it's journey. It is a 7 foot, 1000L reef tank, with sump, skimmer, bio-pellet reactor, activated carbon reactor, 2x MP60's and of course the 1HP chiller. I am currently using 2x 250W MH lights, 1x 450w MH light and fluro's for blues. But I am hoping one day to convert all that to LEDs. I am currently working on some sort of refugium to combat a slight phosphate issue.

I collect my own salt water in 10x 20L jerry cans with a submersible pump and generator every fortnight. That gives me 100L weekly water changes (10%). After an overseas holiday planned mid year I will begin introducing corals to the tank. But at the moment it just has live caught fish and a stack load of live rock.

Thanks for the site and the wisdom.
