Maroon clowns breeding Empty Maroon clowns breeding

Post  mitch099 16th September 2013, 3:16 pm

Hi all
I've just witnessed my Maroon clowns lay their first batch of eggs and realised I'm totally unprepared to take advantage of this. I was just wondering if anyone has had any success with raising Maroons and wouldn't mind passing on a few tips. I was kind of surprised that they started laying eggs while the main light was still on and didn't mind the lookers on. at one stage the female thought I was about to feed them, probably gotten too close to the tank and actually halted laying eggs and went looking for food, but returned soon after to continue. also kind of surprised to see them laying since my water quality isn't that great nor have I got the lights set to any time, just whenever I remember to turn them off.
Anyway, I would be very appreciative of anyone who can help.
Thanks
Mitch
