Hi from toowong

Post  formula409 on 28th November 2013, 11:39 am

Hi there!
Im a 3rd year plant biotech student, and Ive recently really taken an interest in Reef tanks, I have worked a lot in the past designing automated plant growing/monitoring systems built around arduino and node.js, So I guess my real interest in marine tanks is automating them! There are lots of great projects out there going in the right directions but Id love to contribute and make them great!

Grew up in a costal town and always loved the ocean! would love to get into collecting around SEQ so many beautiful cephalopods!

Hi guys
Finally got a camera in the house, be it only a cruddy phone camera I think these are some nice pictures of my tank
Ive obtained everything off gumtree and collecting from our local beaches

I went a little crazy when we first set it up in january but have backed away from it over the last few months letting it develop a real ecosystem before adding anything else in (corals and the such)

I must admit my main interest is cephalopods and I really hope to find a blue ring or cuttlefish

Thanks mate, looks great.
That wrasse is a juvenile Halichoeres marginatus the other before it is a Fortescue.
If you want we will pm for what ever help to find some cuttle eggs and possibly a blue ring from now on.
