[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]  Old wife fish (Enoplosus Armatus) an Australian endemic species that is very common further south. They are rarely found in the aquarium industry in part due to regulations restricting commercial collecting in these areas.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] stromb snail (Strombus luhuanus) Starting at about 1 per every 100 square cm are good for turning over your substrate. They can be found occurring in the hundreds on sandy weed beds but be careful since they look almost identical to cone shells (pictured below) that can be found inhabiting the same area. The two can be differentiated by the notch seen to the left in the photo where the stromb snails second eye protrudes. This Stromb has been cleaned of algea from its shell and hence the similarity is not so clear.

Sorry not the best photo but these are two types of Nassarius snails we find in Moreton Bay for cleanup crew. The white shells on the left are a new species we discovered this month on a low tide walk at night.

Very cool thread Mike.
Back in the 80s and most of the 90s, we use to get plenty up here in SEQ, but with the rising ocean temps, the 400 at a time we would get to send over seas, is a few in comparison seen here and there now.
And the algae grazing worms, I use to hate the feel of them as we would collect them, like a weird feeling long skinny half inflated balloon with water?,lol.
