Blue ring octopus with eggs.

This little ocy was very guarded of its eggs, in fact at one stage it attacked my camera,lol.


This is it at home, still very protective of its eggs but let one clutch go for a minute while I fed it.

Another ocy knows a blue ring ocy parent is near by!
In one tub there is the ocy I have had for ages and rarely shows aggression and a week or two back I put in a blue ring in the other tub to look after it’s eggs to hatch them!
The day the blue ring was set up in its special area, the original was really agro for two days, they certainly know what’s going on in their water.

You can just make out a couple of its eggs at the back of it of the 26 that I can count.
Many are hatching and for some reason many folks like the blue rings these days.


Some ones not happy, lol
