Coral ID pls and latest addition

Post  Farmer141 on 22nd March 2015, 12:24 pm

Hey Guys,
Had another great day out and bought back my first coral (I think).  Any chance of an ID pls Liquid and I just want to make sure it won't harm anything in my tank.
Also caught my first Emperor Angel, Fire Damsel and cute little wrasse.  I found a couple of Emperor Angels in my LFS today which had half the colour of my wild caught fish.
Take care all, especially in the water.  It was tragic to hear about that young bloke who had a shallow water black out off Morten Island.  Very sad.

Larger Angel still hiding in his cave

Smaller Angel, charges around the tank like a champ

Fire Damsel - very hard to get a photo of, does not stop for anyone

Cute little wrasse, maybe a moon wrasse?

no worries it does grow fast and does spread pretty well, if it starts growing in places you dont want it to grow i just scrub it off with a tooth brush. heres mine i got about the size of 50 cent coin now a little smaller than fist size[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Very cool catches mate, the angelfish you have are pomacanthus semicirculatus, nice fish, one of my favs. Oh and that's a little Dusky Wrasse or Halichoeres marginatus
Good to have you on here rrama1 and helping farmer141 Very Happy
Yeh its not easy for the young blokes to identify when that pass out stage is bitting, you normally only have a second or two to react if you are aware of your limitations and know it is coming and that is not easy, it takes time, if you have it?
Been sort of there twice, once in Q and once in WA and the once here I just had time to drop weight belt, I think by the feel of it I had maybe two seconds till the end.
I was lucky, it was shallow.

cheers

Awesome little fish, very similar to mine.
Just got back from Great Keppel with the family, got some great pics. I'll look at a new post when we get settled.
