Forcipiger collected then onto a mates tank,

This little guy as you can see was a little worse for wear coming from the ocean.
Their life out there can be quite tough and 99.9 of all marine aquarium species do not make it to adult hood via mostly natural predation.
Those are marine scientists and the governments stats of marine life over all, we directly interfere with less then one percent.
Indirectly its a whole new ball game via affects on habitat, water quality and climate, probably these ways we affect them a great deal.

If a hobbyist does it really well with his or her hobby, which is very rare, marine life in an aquarium lives far longer than in the wild!!!

This guy went from its home to a mates home from not looking to great, to spot on and appearing like aquarium life really agrees with it.
