7th march

This day was a trip for Marks four thousand litre water change again and a couple of us tagged along and it was a great day, well the three hours there were anyway.

The water was 26c/27c,8 to 10 metres vis and heaps of new and old life there to chase and have a ball,oh and get very tired as well.

No one took a spear gun and wouldn’t you know it there were heaps of spear able fish and only two spear fishers there on the day.

One boat of free divers that had spear guns held up one of the nice mangrove jacks that they got, it was a nice big fish.

Danny got the collecting catch of the day amongst all that we three got and that was a juvenile bicolour angle fish, very cute, it will do well with some other collected species in his new 6 foot set up.

There were a lot of semi angels seen but there was only a couple wanted really, so three was enough out of the heaps of easy to catch ones that were there.

This season has certainly put a lot of lineatus blennies around the place, there must have been hundreds of them, but just a few were wanted so that was enough, very nice coloured and natured fish those ones, easy to feed as well though if there is a way out of the tank they will find it.

You find quite a few people that are not really aware think they are the fallax sabretooth blennie, it’s strange but I don’t think they are all that similar, the white under body and the face are totally different.

Over all we got tube worms, clown fish, tibicen-semicirculatus-bicolour angel fish, blennies, lots of fish and a couple of inverts for Marks tank and the two 6 footers that need stocking.

So except for the fact that we were only in the water for three hours it was a very good day.

This was the days conditions.
