collecting trips

hi people.
Just a question or two on the ways and equipment you all use to collect with.
Personaly,i don't use scuba so i would like to have a try at this.
The water looked really nice on the weekend and i have looked at the clubs pictures and video and i am curious how you do it!
All three of us went to straddie on sunday and the ocean looked so nice near the straddie surf club.
Can you get anything near there?Do you go there at all?
I would love to bring back some of the beautiful fish for our aquarium interest,so can we pick your brains a little.
What would i need to get a fish for our aquariums?

I wil get the guys to bring along what they use to collect there tank species to show you.

The straddie question!Near the surfclub there is very limited life to collect,though in certain conditions you can have a very good snorkel there.

We will explain it better at the meeting,where you can see how strange we are,or not.
