Power failures or outages with a reef aquarium.
Once past 2 hours with power off, will most likely cause a major disruption in bio activity, even with a battery air stone or what ever.
I bought my generator at aldi in 2013, it does all my hobby including chiller and heaters and for us at the same time, a fridge/freezer, a light, the tele and fans, all good.
Make sure with the generator you run it each 6 months, then drain the carburettor, don't let fuel sit in it after use and oil the fuel tank so it wont rust.
i made a plastic one. if you don't get a generator, PH buff your water and use a ammonia neutraliser.
