Wormfish or of the latin name Synaptula recta, not a pretty sight, eeerrr!
There were heaps around last week while we spent a few days off collecting, photos and surfing, some were, when stretched out, 2 metres long.
What a gross feel and sight, they stick to you and all that is inside them, falls to each end as it lays over your hand.
So as thin as on your hand and fat balloons at each end, lol.
I use to collect these guys a lot way back  at 20- to 50 at a time each trip when inverts were beginning to be kept with lots of fish, sort of before reef tanks here in aus.
I just wanted to get a couple of small ones for my tanks to go with the one i have had for over two years as my main algae cleaners and there are three common species out off here.
They mow through hair algae and left over crap like i use to with pizzas, lol.
These two variations in a bowl sat like this just touching each other for ages.
