A smooth water day out wide for sure.
A trip out wide as there wasnt anything herd back about the weekends collecting trip, so while the ocean was at a near stand still,a few guys headed out!
The water was dirty at just 8 to 10 meters vis and a bit cold at 22c and to make it even worse, the current was going from the south to the north, that’s why the water is dirty.
The ocean was dead still so it made up for not so clear water,a bit any way.
This is heading out to sea.
The bar had 4 inch waves on it.
Totally calm open ocean.
A cave formation found.
A group of young latezonatus and dominoes together, certainly not camera shy.
This is a female east coast meredithi,on the west coast the slightly different variation is called a personifer.
A greazy cod just hanging around, this one could have been 20 kilos.
A pretty and young starkii damsel, the one truely harmless damsel,my favourite damsel.
A turtle intent on getting some algae by the looks of it.
A tiny latezonatus starting out on its own,so cute.

They are an endemic species to our coast only so the commercial guys that would normally sell them to the shops send them over seas normally or down south for the bigger monies.
