Re: Nano Auto top off.
Depending on the size of your tank and if you want to use electrical components, there's a number of ways to do it:
1. Non-electrical, gravity feed system
2. Battery powered air pump system
3. Electrical- float switch system

Yes, Guppy's have some really cheap products, but I wouldn't recommend buying anything electrical from them as none of the electrical goods are approved for use in Australia, and many who bought electrical goods from them complained about the goods being faulty after a couple of months. For a 30L nano, I would go for the battery powered air pump, all the parts are readily available and they don't cost much.scottatwello wrote:im guess u dont have a sump. with a tank that small so id go the electrical one.

How do you rig a battery powered air pump up to act as top off? I am totally clueless when it comes to this stuff. I have seen some of your nanos and they are BRILIANT!!!

Re: Nano Auto top off.
I bought this one for my 2.5ft from guppies.
ATO
Haven't yet got it completely hooked up, although construction appears to be good and it seems like it'd be a good little gadget.

Re: Nano Auto top off.
I've since gotten my ato that i linked above installed and operational. I love it, it keeps the salinity constant which in a small tank is a big deal, it keeps the water level exactly the same instead of me having to guess how much water to top off every day, it does it for me and only what it needs..
Really happy with it. One of the best 40 bucks i spent on my tank.
