New setup, which one should I use? Empty New setup, which one should I use?

I’m setting up a new tank. It will be a 6ft one. I haven’t ordered it yet, so I can choose any system I want. I know the good old DSB (deep sand bed), as this is the one I’ve used. So I’m thinking about use it again. Does anyone have a different opinion?

I will keep fish, soft corals and LPS. I’m not interested SPS. I will be running a 1000L skimmer.

Its just a thought mate but what about two tanks on a six foot stand, two three footers.

One for a few gentle fish, but mainly inverts and the other for any fish and robust inverts, if you do your filter right, use a chiller and some half reasonable LEDs the sps are so easy its not funny!

Oh and thats doing away with water changes ever agian or the need for a skimmer! cheers

I thought about it in the past. However, now I want to have a beautiful marine tank in my living room. So it must be presentable. I reckon three different tanks on one single cabinet would look like shop tanks rather than an impressing display.

I tend to use DSB with beach sand, the finest I can get.
