Something on protists.
Just a bit on some thing I found interesting that I herd the other day from a reliable source.
Many of the massive protist family, which includes white spot and velvet, are normally either photosynthetic life forms or mixotrophic!!
Meaning they photosynthesis some of its needs and feed off their prey as well.
Holly you know what, that explains even more on these little beggars and how to fight them.
Now I know that if you reduce lighting for these creatures it will make them feed on the host even more.
So the rubbish on you can remove these protists by having no fish for a while is as I thought, total rubbish, they can exist with out a host on the substrate for ages and feed with out flesh available by the tanks lighting.
