Go fly a kite !

A few trips back a few of us went out for a mixed day of looking around our wonderful coast in my little boat, affectionately known as BPOO.

We had a fish, a bit of a swim (see other post from that day - https://southeastqueenslandm.aforumfree.com/t1637-first-day-of-summergood-times ) and at the end of the day, as the winds picked up and we headed back into smoother waters, mYke mentioned he had his kite with him (as you do).....so we parked the boat at a nice little bit of beach and decided to get a few pro lessons from mYke on all things kite...

He explained how to stand and control the kite, the wind direction and its affect on the kite as well as the power positioning etc etc...All very interesting stuff - clearly mYke knows kite !

So after a bit of a educational scratched out in the sand - he demonstrated why he is internationally known as MR kYte....boy can he fly one

Aaaaaaaaaaannnyway - after a little while he was happy to pass on the controls and kindly offered Dendro a crack at it...and typical of his species - after 5 minutes at the control - and under the skilful instruction of MR kYte hinself - Dendro soon owned it - clearly demonstrating why he is # 1 - he was clearly the "Jackie Chan" of kYte...the "Bruce Lee" of control and was ripping it up in no time....

It was truly a lot of fun - we all had a crack at it and totally enjoyed ourselves for a few hours - so here are some random pics

After some sand painted explanation - mYke launches the kite ready for demo....

Dendro soon found his groove and was carving the skies.....great fun !




A few strings needed to be untaggled a few times; but mYke is always there to help - what a guy !



Yep soon had it airbourne again and the fun continues
