Newbie here,hi all.
hey just thought i would join up and see what all this collecting is about.
I have tried it a little but i am hopless never give up, thats me!
I read here that this club has been doing this for quite a long time, must be a bit knowledge by now?
i hope it would be okay if i ask a few things about it.
Any of you guys into scuba?Thats my thing.

sorry mate
sorry it took so long to reply, been very busy of late.
Most of us just snorkel but myself and a couple of others go for scuba here and there, not to collect,in Q we can't use scuba to do that.
collecting on snorkel is far better exercise any way.
Today i got a mate to drop me in the rock pool for a while so i could get some video,it has the barrier reef in it,so nice!!!
The videos of it and the link to all photos from it will be in the club section with a sticky permanently.hopefully by tomorrow night.
You will be amazed at it.
Hey something out of horror movie today,we had a bronze whaler and a white pointer hanging around, they were both around 7 to 8 feet.
So it was dirty the pants and fly into the boat,no taking off the gear at the back, just leap in.
we went for a look around on scuba at boat rock and than some snorkelling spearfishing and collecting on the way back at high tide on the rufus king wreck, very nice.
we found something very interesting as well, the fuselage (cock pit) of a plane that went down in 1947,we have been looking for it for nearly 3 years now, fantastic and in only seventy feet of water, the fish life on this thing is very intence.
Next time i am going to throw a line over between dives!

hi from Toowoomba trio
My friends do a little scuba diving at the gold coast normally.
I want to do the certification, can’t afford it yet and it’s cold now, lol.
I see you are from down south, hope to see some interesting diving tails from you.
I snorkel with my friends, just shallow stuff; we have lots of fun.
