Composcia sponge decorator crab shows how well it can use sponge and algae provided .
This big guy has been in captivity for nearly 4 years now and lives a simple life in the second tub and has never harmed anything of any value, so its life there is secure.
Out of the millions seen and some kept, this one has got real talent!
It gets a good mix of foods along with its little mate of near 3 years, that one is an algae decorator crab and not a great dresser!
The sponge guy uses what ever is put in as its gear for that week or month or two and it does grow some healthy sponge content as well, it’s a good gardener??
This is its latest dress up night; this all went in and was all put on over night!
Some of the sponge foods for other life was dropped in for the decorator to play with and a little ulva and more so it could dress up, the next morn it was looking good!
Original dress gear
Some new sponge and algae added for it to use at night.
The new gear on the next morning.
A pic in the sun for better colours.
