Oceans temps are getting very concerning!!!
I was just looking at what I could do next weekend with dives via the satelite feed on the oceans temps around here and saw the current temps. The oceans temps are getting quite concerning!!! When I first got into the water here in SEQ to surf and dive in 77 the winter temps at flat rock and other reefs around here were at the lowest at either side of 16c at this time of the year. At the moment it is 20c up from the lowest a month or so back of 18.7c!! Holly shit!!! The oceans temps here have been creeping up for nearly 25 years and around 15 to 18 years back, it has not gotten below 18c any more out there, if you have experienced this like i have, it makes you think hey.
What the hell have we done and are we/future generations in for some serious climate shit from what we have done or what!!!!

We're the only animals that shit where we sleep, sad but true. I had a professor at university tell me that. We're headed down the same path as dinosaurs, they ate all the trees, populations grew out of control and the Earth crashed. I don't believe for 1 second that it was a comet or meteor. Here we are, supposedly the smartest animals to date, heading down the same path.

So true mate.
From the first dominant creature being a flat worm, to use now, maybe they were more deserving!
The only time our society tried to do something good for every thing, that being china trying to reduce births, yes the population handled this not great, but look how the world responded to that!
Nothing "sadly" will restrain our population growth for a long time to come, but during that long time, as there is already, there will be a ton of individual species extinctions and a horrendous amount of suffering for everything leading up to it.
As just one of many, known as the great dying, was a major extinction event 250ish million years back, that one nearly took out everything, so close to nothing ever existing here again.
Our time has been so short here compared to what has been and gone and look what we have done to the over all earths life's detriment in our time, holy shit!!???
What is our down fall and will take us out in time, is with each new generation comes acceptance of what is here now and what was means near nothing to most of them.
This one factor of many bad ones from our society means there is no chance of anything good, for over all scheme of things, possibly coming from us.
