Water changes for the reef aquarium do not have to be boring!
The other day I needed water for two new tanks, so off to the raby bay boat ramps for some good salt water.
When you time the tide, the suns cycle and a strong south easterly while you are there, you have pelicans watching your every move, a top sunset and good quality water.
Cleveland point sailing boat ramp, this one is right at the end of cleve pojnt next to the park on the left.
a sunset there
Raby bay air sea rescue boat ramps at cleve point
a sunset there
A pelican on the light over the original boat ramp, this is asleep.

Re: Water changes for the reef aquarium do not have to be boring!
Hi,
Living in Wynnum I am looking to start collecting my own water. From your experience is the water in Raby Bay ok for a mixed reef tank?
If you don't mind me asking, it might be a top secret , where at the boat ramps do you collect from - I would assume location 1 on the map below off the wall or do you go from the ramps (or somewhere else all together).
Thanks for any advise.

Sorry mate, the pics were there, but as many know photobuckets rip off makes them invisible, I just fixed that with imgur.
In the area of the boat ramps are sps corals growing wild, so the water there is quite good.
