Coral dying, going brown and slimy looking-Brown jelly decease for corals.
I just read of a reefers tank suffering the death of some corals and this is because of that I am putting this up.
Many folks get this and do not know what's happening when their corals go gooey and a soft brown, then death.
Its another form of ciliate protist that is a close relative to the protist ich, you know, white spot!
Your coral is like a human in a way with a weakness affecting their immune system or something like high blood sugar then an infection from that wound results.
The protists attack, then bacteria finishes it off and will spread if the reason for it is not reduced.
It was harmed and low water quality is the reason here! If what is consumed and all that is around is in good order and with no coral aggression near by, it should never have started to die off.
