Bubbles in reef tanks to increase oxygen levels?
Air stones bubbles move water, those bubbles do not make oxygen or apply oxygen to your water, they move the surface oxygenated water around your tank!
Skimmers do not make oxygen; the bubbles in reef tank waters get coated near on instantly so no oxygen advantage at all!
You either make a cascading area open to the air that was once called a dry section or add pure hydrogen peroxide or at least make all your water open to the air.
Heaps of evaporation this way, but evap is due to water being moved, that means molecules being based against each other creating heat/friction, resulting in evaporation!
If you can dose tiny amounts of pure peroxide, all fixed!
