Fallow, for reducing parasites in a reef/marine aquarium
Fallow is pretty much a fallacy!
What it does is get the water quality very high due to non polluting life in the aquarium for some time, fish and crustaceans are the tanks greatest polluters.
Corals recycle most of their waste to their symbiotic life forms with in their cells.
In time, once all are back in the aqaurium, the problem that brought on the parasitic protists is back in full swing, if not fixed!!
White spot and velvet are protists; protists are one of the most represented life forms in a non-treated aquarium!
