A stealth killer of live prey, this earns it the name the vampire killer.

The crab is twilight feeding omnivorous crab and meat based creatures make up most of it’s a diet though all kinds of dry food, earth worms as such will suffice.
They are viscous killers and can be fed house crickets as well.
These crabs are crepuscular and nocturnal but are mainly only found hunting at dawn and dusk and graze on mosses and algae.
This crab is one of several that have jumped in popularity for the hobbyist and can be found on an island off the coast of Sulawesi, making their way to Europe via Jakarta.

As yet there is very little info on these newish pets but are becoming very popular and may be in Aus very soon.
This species of crab has been taken from brackish conditions to terrestrial or totally freshwater and is completely void of the need for the ocean now.
They are with in the genus Geosesarma and can grow to around 2 to 3 centemetres, the females carry eggs once each six months and the best temp for these pets is around22c to 28c and quite humid if possible.

have not heard of these crabs before - very cool / striking colours sunny
after reading this post , l checked out one of the crustacean/ invertebrate forum pages on the web -- also -sounds like they would be fairly easy to keep as a pet by what has been observed by owners so far cheers
