Marine octopus1500 skimmer

Does anyone have the instructions for setting up a marine octopus1500 skimmer. I cant stop the fine air bubbles going into the tank via the pump in the sump.

Where do you have the skimmer return in relation to the water returning to the main tank.
Normally the skimmer would be at the opposite end of the sump to the return pump, with the water going thru baffles.

Looks like I will have to redesign the sump the skimmer outflow is righ next the tank pump.

Maybe hang a filter bag over the end of the skimmer outlet, that might solve your problem of having fine bubbles throughout the tank.

Edit: Better yet, can you route a pipe off the outlet to the start of the sump so your skimmed water is doing a double take through the sump and effectively being skimmed twice? With a filter bag on the end of the outlet pipe?
