It’s like most things that can't be just purchased, what way will it work best, what size or shape do you go with.it can do your head in!
A mate has one on his, he had to make and plumb his own.
He got an acrylic box, like a small tank for the back of his tank, the pipes that come out of it sit just above the edge of the tank so the water that gets pumped in naturally flows back into the tank.
He has all kinds of macro algae over a course substrate and I am sure I have seen sponge in there also.
He said it helps take phosphates and nitrates out of the water and feeds the tank some plankton that he has growing in the refugium.
He’s had it going for nearly a year and there have been no probs.
