Its official,(a fan fare please) phosphates encourage unwanted algae’s and can possibly kill aquarium life.

It is said that in a reef tank phosphates adversely affect the corals skeleton inhibiting calcification by more than fifty percent and with holding the deposition of strontium.

It can be now said that phosphates could be classed as a poison to calcification.

This has been released as if it was not known ages ago, what the!!

In a scientifically explained way, sure it is now being put out there, but than again isn’t every thing these days to make it seem like a new discovery, most of us surely realised phosphates and nitrates sicken and destabilise all marine biological functions, not so much on a micro (bacterial) level, but most certainly with in your tanks creatures digestive system and substance absorbs ion.

Some one says some big words and the minions go wow and go and buy another test kit, good for the shops.
