Snorkelling in the Pacific Island 2012
Here are a few pictures taken whilst snorkelling in 3 spots in the Pacific Islands.
Pele Island, Vanuatu, reasonably clear day, good visibility, some deeper water to about 10m some just off the beach.
A beautiful island, very friendly people and some fantastic marine life, the coral is not the best but it is still a great place to snorkel even for a novice.
Port Denaru, Fiji, overcast day, taken by boat to a deep water spot, very strong currents and quite rough on the surface. Not a good spot for a beginner or someone who is not a strong swimmer. Good variety of fish etc, plenty of soft coral.
Mystery Island in Vauatu, patchy cloud all day, snorkel straight off the beach, lots of fish!!!! Great spot for kids and beginners.[img] [/img]

Hi
Those 2 Trevally swam around me for about 10 minutes, I must have taken a sequence of about 50 pictures, quite amazing when they are not at all disturbed by you being there.
That was at Mystery Island, a great place for anyone to get a look at some amazing fish, the water was only waist deep and you just walk in off the beach!!!
