It a healthy way of getting on with your tank, one shot for the tank and one for yourself. :loI've been trying the vodka dosing with my dosing pump but still taking in gingerly, I have also been adding bacteria a couple of time a week to help. My phosphate is down at 0.02ppm and the nitrates have been staying at 6 to 8 ppm, I think it's leaching out of the rock. I'm getting mulm build up on the rocks, so turkey blaster and water changes for me. I'll have to start upping the dosage by another ml per day.

mate i tried for awhile but regular water changes and a redesigned filtration system is what im going with now.
