Free dive new years day 2013
Firstly thanks to ignobolis for putting his hand up to take us for a free dive, thanks mate.
The weather report said big swells and strong winds, we found average swells and no wind to to speak of.
The actual bom weeks forecast said this was going to be good day and it was.
The vis was from 4 meters upon arrival and up to 10 at the standing tide, so not bad at all.
The water temperature was from 24c to 27c here and there and lots of life for us to appreciate and chase one or two for our reef tanks.
The trip out.
Plenty of life about.
A distinct case of size is important, lol.
A couple of the many nudibranches seen.
Dorid nudibranch family member.
Aeolid nudibranch family member.
Sabellastarte tube worms in the hundreds as usual.
A tiny ibacus brucei lobster.
A large chiton stuck to the glove well and truly, lol.
An egg cowries skin.
A few of the many corals seen.
A cute face of a young akindynos.
A favourite of mine,the hydatina physis .
Dannys pics.

Thanks mate, there is you,Danny and myslef now to give forum users a taste of what we see from the photos.
Dannys pics are in there near the end as well!
His new canon 240 HS camera seems to take a nice pic,as he gets used to it over time that should get interesting.

Some of my shots
Hi all
Finally had some time to post up a few of my pics - As some of you know I have a real love of all inverts, each time we go out I see these shrimp and just cannot seem to get them...so I decided to try and at least get a photo of them as I cant explain what they look like properly and are not real sure what they are - well I took a random shot of one I had seen on a ledge protected by his Urchin buddy... it looked ok when I took the shot but when I saw the shot on the big screen I was amazed - 5 of them in one spot - Awesome
Here is a new wreck we can dive - it has some of G's best mates in it as well...
Here is his mate waiting for him....
Yes it was a fun day -
Cheers
