The mantis are even more special then I thought!

The first large predator on the planet was an early mantis?
Has any one seen the special on the fossils found in the Rocky Mountains from 540 million years back?
It featured an anomalocaris, a prehistoric mantis relative.
The things have been around since the beginning of complex life, and I thought they were just a little special.
Truly amazing creatures.
