Somerset dam east of Brisbane for the best in lake sports and leisure.

The dam is a beautiful area for general boating including water skiing, fishing or a top family day in freshwater.
There are many activities to inspire you to head out to Somerset dam on a short casual 2 hour drive either north-north west or south-south west from Brisbane.
You can stay in cabins or set up a camp site here.

There are many areas for a day trip at the waters edge in one of the swimming zones.
Another popular activity is have a paddle in one of the swimming zones or a day paddling a ski or kayak around the dam site seeing, fishing or photography.
