The sea hair is a prolific consumer or hair algae for those reefers that need hair algae removed or at least controlled.
Three things to be considered.
Firstly, they absorb all metals that the algae has consumed and this will kill them, if you do not have adequate bio sinks or ways of removing the metals that will eventually kill them!
When they run out of alae and begin to starve, you need somewhere to keep them well fed till they are reintroduced.
They will eat your decorative algae forms.
