Mudjimba-old woman island trips.
In the late 70s through to the late 90s we use to dive old woman island a lot, its been 15 to 20 years since I have been back!
Three times in those years it has been completely wiped by left over cyclones rain fall coming from the Maroochy river and the Mooloolaba bar mouth and each time it starts bouncing back real fast!
The rock pool which gave us a great free dive, back in the 80s I use to park my jet ski in there.
vis
old mask
corals
other sea life there
algae
nudis
sea stars
shell spiral
sponges

Very common, especially caught on lines but illegal to collect here.
The ones in Moreton bay are much prettier, extremely blue, like the southern version.

Well that explains why I never see them here in the US. I'd love to get a group of 6 for captive breeding. I breed and raise the regular Marine Betta.
