Artificial reef off North Stradbroke island/flinders beach.

This first lot of photos and a video are from early January, roughly two months after the artificial reef went in.
Hearing about this reef and the position of it, myself and others thought, how silly is that!
Too shallow to survive rough water, and the outer section, too deep for not so great free divers.
Well we were wrong, the reef is working perfectly.
This first thread ics the usual thing with anything new in the ocean, algae starts up first, then basic filter feeders like barnacles and then more filter feeders that are great food sources for many marine life forms and so on.
Not many fish yet, quite a lot of the life here will come as plankton, then drop out then start life and grow.
This day in early January was not real clear, just 5 or 6 metres vis-

Most algae is gone, just ulva left now, but an enormous amount of life coming on nicely!
