Boat rock dive site north east of Stradbroke island.
This is as we arrived at boat rock.
No swell or current at all, smooth seas and water temps at 23c.
Over the years we have dived here many times, though on regular occasions the current is far too strong as it compresses against the end of straddie and then out around this reef, sometimes it is white water around the reef and with no swell.
The current rages so much here at times even free diving you get swept away.
Lots of chopping fish as we went along.
This pic is half way down, the bottom not in sight and being able to see the under side of the boat had gone ages ago, at this stage we are in complete void, nothing anywhere to see, just plankton,a rope and us!!!!
Not real clear water but better then it has been.
Volitans and a lunula lion fish
This cray species common out here.
The all ways very beautiful colony sand tube worms.
A turtle as it looses its shyness.
This was it on the surface as we got in.
Now next to me after around 5 mins once on the bottom.
Tubustria types
Yellow feather sea star.
Some cod were seen
Latz and anemones pics
A large pineapple fish.
Basket sea star
Always blue tangs somewhere
This is just finishing our last deco and heading up.
