Ann street surf break on Queenslands sunshine coast.
This break, on the northern side of dickies beach, is more so for goofy footers though the right hander here can be fun, but more so for us guys that go left facing the wave.
I first tried this one in late 1977 and being a goofy footer, found it, in the right conditions, a fun wave that holds swells wave faces from 7 to 10 feet, above that and it isn’t that good any more.
There are other interesting aspects to this reef a part from surfing, it’s a good free dive, spearing reef, not many fish but always a cray or two and being that it is not in any marine parks, great for recreational collection of acanthastria corals or acans.
This is the break with around a 4 foot face.
