Turtle encounters in the south east of Q
These are a few videos of some turtles we see and a pic or two of us interacting with them at one or two spots we frequent.
This is one at the south port seaway that firstly was camera shy but decided to pose a little before heading off.
This one was badly tangled up in fishing line and at this depth may have drowned.
This is the same one that came back virtualy up against its releaser being very friendly twice before the third time and a video was taken again.
It was as if it apprecaited its release.
This is a turtle Danny got a couple of pics of that was gotten out of some fishing line by one of the clubbies on a boat club trip.

those photos look like they are of a little hawksbill - I think they are one of the rarer species. Well done on saving it!

Yeh the poor thing was so stressed it could only get a few feet off the bottom, after it was released it was weird it came back to us a couple of times and swam right up to us really close and sought of turned over on its back as it came very close and one of us touched it once, very strange
