LED lights plan and explaination
LED-Light Emitting Diode
The resisters for this should be at 470 ohm.
Here Guys,go for it,put in some replies, put in some explainations and pics and i will put it together for a complete thread on the subject.
This is a plan of a few options as to how to put the LEDs in a complete circuit.
More info from deadsled.
For anyone that wants to make their own, keep in mind it goes..
Positive wire -> Resistor -> LED (Long leg) -> LED (Short Leg) -> Negative wire.

My sparky mate Zack drew up a proper drawing, so i'll draw it up and post it soon.

Here we go. This is the correct way to draw what i believe is the third one down on your diagram.
Now, i kind of get it.. and Zack has drawn it incorporating a switch as well, which mine doesn't have. Anyway there it is anyway. It might be of some help to anyone wanting to make them.
I also just noticed that the third and fourth ones on that diagram are the same thing, just instead of the resistor and LED being drawn in a straight line its been drawn all swirly

Re: LED lights plan and explaination
Heh, thats all i got for now.
I want to put another LED onto what i've got now, to light up the right hand corner.. just haven't gotten around to it. They are very easy to add onto the way i've done it, which was the third on your diagram.
I'd like to see if Andres got his ones working yet or not.

no not that
No,what i mean deadsled is reduced pics of LEds and then a pic of other parts together in a few short pics and very basic ways of explaning the ways in which you use them,so any one reading about it can understand it easily. That sought of thing.
If some one could place them on a table in a row in the correct sequence of which part to use when, where and how and put in those pics with a brief explaination of what to get and where to get them.
The things we learn in the hobby should be shared with all, unless there are very good reasons for not doing so.
Any thing you put on here we can move around to sought out a top thread on the subject as you go along,if that is okay.
I will delete everything else once you all have a very good thread from the bits and peices al together.
Watch the top part of the thread,if you think it should be different, just say so and we will work it out.
I understand what is what with this but you guys have actualy done it.
The part of the plans that looks simialr to another is more or less what i intend to do,keep the possitive and the negative close to original, joined and make a foot for each LED to use under the kitchen cupboards, one dual strip of wire with leds along it,like xmas strip lighting for the front of your house as xmas lights.
Once it is complete, the link to our thread will go on other forums.

Re: LED lights plan and explaination
Ohh yep i get ya. Unfortunately i can't really get pics off my camera phone at the moment, the memory card shit itself and the computer won't recognise the phones non memory card folders.. so i can't even get a picture of how i've got it set up on my lights.
Hopefully Shane or Andres can get some pics of how they did it, until i can get these bloody camera issues fixed. Seems lately everything i touch thats modern technology craps itself
