Biscuit sea star with barnacles.
As usual there were some biscuit sea stars around last weekend and I thought I would get one or two for extra clean up crew work.
One of their main food sources is cyan bacteria and anything with substantial cyano content they will pounce on it,slowely, lol.
This one was a little unusual as it is rare that you find one with barnacles on it.
The black arrow shows a slight discolouration and that is where I pulled one from the sea star.
